Reality...

So I've taken a lot of pride in saying that I don't like reality shows. When I think reality I think of shows like Fear Factor, Survivor, Amazing Race, etc. However there are some reality shows that I do like. Such as Top Model, Project Runway, Biggest Loser, and my latest favorite Dance Your A** Off. It's such as amazing show...people are changing their lives by losing weight and gaining some skill and confidence at the same time...what's better then that?!? I'm watching the replay of Dance Your A** Off Right now and it's just so encouraging...even though I don't need to lose any weight it's motivating to me to think that there is nothing that will stop those people from reaching their dreams so I won't let anything stop me from chasing mine.

New Cards

I've been trying to find a new look for my etsy store and business cards and I've finally settled on one that I really like! The store banner and cards (and the Whitney Sews website header) were made from photos I took last week. I brought the photos into Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite for editing...after a little bit of editing I had exactly what I wanted.

Cooking Fun

Gotta love that Rachael Ray! One of her quick tips on the show today was about reusing a ketchup bottle for pancake batter. Just wash it out, fill it up, then make pancakes in any shape imaginable. She even made pancakes that spelled out peoples names...super cute!

Have I mentioned lately...

...how awesome my friends are?!?

One of the upcoming Whitney Sews episodes will be co-hosted by Angela and I. It will be a lot of fun and I can't wait to film it!

**UPDATE- I just realized *bad friend here* that Angela has a blog! So I wanted to share the link. Angela is my partner-in-crime when it comes to anything crafty/photoshoots/costuming and just about everything else. It's through Angela that I first met Jordan...anyway, Angela will be opening an etsy store soon and when she does I will post the link!**

Episode 9...

Nerd Alert!

I had no idea how big of a nerd I was until I started checking out audio books. I can get them online from my local library. I check them out, download them and can listen to them for 7 days, then the files will no longer work. I've listened to over a dozen audio books this way. The files can be put on mp3 players so you can listen to them away from the computer, but I don't own an mp3 player so I have listened to countless hours of books while vegging at my computer. The latest two are Confessions of a Jane Austin Addict that was over 7 hours long and currently The Prestige which is over 12 hours long. I've just sat here and listened to almost 6 hours of The Prestige in the last few days...mostly while doing other things like filming Whitney Sews...in fact I'm having to mute most of my video footage on the past two episodes because of the audio books playing in the background... *couNERDgh**
