So, so excited!

Today I broke so many personal records in my etsy store!

-I made my first sale since becoming totally self-employed
-I sold two items in the same day
-To top it off I made a third sale!

I've been really praying that being self-employed will work out, but it's been a little discouraging these last couple of months because I was so busy with my summer job that I didn't have much time to work on my store. Then last week I went full time working on my store and hadn't made a sale in a while. I was starting to wonder if I would have to take a part time job...but I'm totally believing now that I can do this and my store is going to be really successful!

A New Feat

As of last night I finished watching every last DVD of the Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman collection! That is 42 disks, six seasons and two movies. Yes I do realize that not only the fact that I watched it all makes me a nerd, but the fact that I'm proud of it makes me ever more nerdy...and I am totally cool with that! I love historical fiction and Dr. Quinn is set in one of my favorite times and places, so I love the show. Well, enough of my rambling...I'm going to finish listening to the audio book of The Return of Tarzan...

Awesome Find

I went thrifting with my mom on Monday and found some great new stuff for my store and for myself! My favorite thing that I found is this full length wedding petticoat. I got it for half price so it was only $15. It is so amazing and fun to walk around the house it :) It's crazy fabulous with its high waisted design and I'm pretending that the size inside doesn't say 16 (it's a little big and can stretch to be a a lot bigger).

I'm so much more brave with my style then I used to be .I really don't care what people think about me and if I like something then I'll wear it...and I like this petticoat. I'm thinking about dying it a deep blue color and wearing it like it's a regular skirt. What do you all think I should do with it??

Whitney Sews- Episode 16

So weird...

It's really strange to see every ones facebook statuses about going back to school while I'm sitting in my bedroom 100 miles away from my Alma Mater. I like being a small business owner and not having to have a day job, but it's almost like I don't know what to do with all my time. Yesterday I got up *early* 9 am and went thrifting then came back home for lunch, did some photography, listed new items on my etsy and did some sewing. The day felt sooo long, which I guess is a good thing, but at the same time it's really weird. I'm going to have to get used to this new routine...

Latest Projects

I didn't grow up wearing jewelry, so the bug has just now hit me. I love making it and wearing it (sometimes). I'm like a little kid playing dress up :) I'm proud of how my jewelry has turned out. Here are some pics of two of my latest projects...more to come soon.
