Happy Birth/Anni/Mothers/Wedding Day
Crazy title huh??
Today is my dad's birthday. Yesterday was mine and Jordan's three month anniversary. Sunday was Mother's day and tomorrow is my sister's wedding shower. I was going to find pics of everyone to include in this post...but then remembered that I have a video of everyone! It was taken last Saturday at the restaurant right after my graduation, so yea everyone gets included :)

Quite a Weekend
I'll start with yesterday...stayed up late writing my last paper ever. Then got up Friday morning for a photo shoot. Angela and I are going to appear in the East Central University Centennial Look Book and the promotional catalogue for next year. We took photos in our "backstage" costumer look and then in costumes. Then we took care of turning in work keys, selling back books, leaving a forwarding address, etc. Then after helping friends move out of the dorms Jordan and I went on a date and we were reminded again of how indecisive we can be :) We ended up heading to McDonald's for a late night snack which involved raincoats and forging a river in the parking lot. Just as I was saying "a number 1 with a coke" the power on half the town went out. So we thought we'll just go to Taco Bell, it's on the other half of town....but no, Taco Bell was the only place on the street without power. We finally got some subs at the gas station and headed back to school...I know this story is probably lame, but just stick with it :) I discovered last night how creepy the school is without power...there were safety lights on and it looked like every horror film I've never wanted to see. We ended up eating by the light of the laptops and talked about how only Jordan and I can have a last night of hanging out that goes like this. The power came back on about an hour and a half later. So I got to bed about 2 a.m.
I had to be up and in my cap and gown at 7:45 this morning to receive my Alpha Chi honor cords. Walked to pomp and circumstance at 10, heard Jim Lehrer speak and was graduated with high honors by 11:15. And only cried like four times over the past two days...

Only 3 Days...
...one video project, one paper, one character make-up application, two tests, and packing up everything in my dorm stands in the way of graduation. Oh and a date with Jordan, but I'm cool with that :)

Two Projects Down
WooHoo...been in the lab since 9:30 am and got my two commercials done! They're a little cheesy because I came up with the idea while lying in bed really late one night...but oh well. So here they are...

I'm trying...
...really hard to keep this thing updated, but school is about to kick my butt. I graduate in 24 days and between now and then I have to read Hamlet and design costumes and make-up for three of the characters, write a comparative analysis paper for media programming, edit a 30 second and 60 second commercial, shoot and edit a final video project that has to be longer then 5 minutes, write a case study paper over Dr. Quinn, finish choreographing and memorizing our dance, take 2-3 tests, an epic kickball game to play with the Video II class, plan one banquet, attend two one, drive to Tulsa and attend OAB convention Friday, dance in the spring dance concert Friday and Saturday night...oh and finish my portfolio and convince the bigwigs that I should get a pass on senior project so I can graduate. There's a photoshoot and a music video shoot we're trying to work in and I'm wanting a trip to Branson...we'll see if that happens.
So I'm going to bed now...no class tomorrow so that means a full day of editing, writing, dance practice, then the honors banquet with Jordan because he's the president of the honors association.
Oh...today is mine and Jordan's two month-iversary!

A little bit of photo editing...
...and some cuteness thrown in :)
There have been some days with really nice weather lately, so Jordan and I have hit the park a few times. I always bring along the camera and sometimes the sidewalk chalk. I then spend the next couple of hours editing photos to put up on facebook. So here are some of the latest...as always you can click the photos to enlarge them.
Lately I've been playing a lot with layers. This first one is just a heart I drew on the sidewalk then I took this photo by holding the camera over my head to shoot down at my feet. I ended up creating two layers, turning the top one B&W, then erasing the heart so the second, colored layer shows through.

These photos were backlite taken at sunset. When taking the pictures they looked like really great silhouettes, but when I uploaded them they weren't as dark as they first appeared. I used the magic wand edge finder to cut out Jordan then copy and pasted it on top. I darkened the top layers to create a better silhouette.

This set was also taken at sunset, but I wasn't wanting the darker, silhouette look. I wanted to be able to see our faces. The first pic is the original, next is my first editing attempt where I just brightened it all without making layers but our faces ended up with lots of shadows, the last photo was edited slightly lightening the photo then cutting the two of us out and lightening us even more.

Cute aren't we?? ;)

T-shirt Resize
Jordan's sister told us that the only way he and I could be a cuter couple is if I wear his shirts...well it just so happens that one of Jordan's favorite shirts shrank to the point that he can't wear it anymore. Since I'm all crafty he gave it to me :)

So I got inspired by this video on youTube and I altered the shirt to fit me. I planned on making it a little shorter then it turned out, but the original hem looked so nice and and it's not that much too long, so I just left it.
The shirt was pretty cool to begin with...it totally has a picture of a moose printed on the inside.

Fun Night!
So Jordan and I...if you have no idea who Jordan is that's ok. He's the "new guy." You're up to date now. Ok, but really...we started dating on Valentine's Day and he totally planned out an amazing date with a walk at the beach and a picnic (both indoors because of the rain...yes there was sand inside). We danced in the rain. It was loads of fun.
Ok, so anyway, Jordan and I went on a roadtrip last night to Tulsa and ate at the cheesecake factory. It was a really nice night so we sat out on the veranda. Then we hung out at the mall and took our picture in one of those little photo booth things.
On the way to Tulsa we stopped at my parents house because it's just not cool to be in the area and not stop by to say "hi." Mom, Dad...Jordan totally thought you guys were cool :)
