Mini-scrapbook
Earlier this week I made a mini scrapbook (called a meandering book) using a pattern from the 2005 Winter edition of Cloth, Paper, Scissors. Cindy was so nice to send me the pattern when I commented about how cute her meandering books are and how I wanted to make one myself. At first I couldn't decide on a theme and finally settled on love. I'm please with my finished book; it's not perfect, but for a first try I think it turned out good. Now I'm going to make a little envolpe to put it in because the book folds up to a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch square.

Yay for crafts!
I had a fantastic day yesterday! I went to the local thrift store to get some old books to use for my scrapmaking/card making. I ended up finding 2 great books and there was a sell going on so it was only $ .34 for both books.

I headed down Main Street to the college when I found a scrapbooking store I had never seen before. So of course I had to stop and check it out. The had ToNS of paper witht he cutest designs.

After I got back to my dorm I went to work and made a postcard, a card, and then started on a set of postcards using the book illistrations from Captain Horatio Hornblower and I finished them today.

Opening night for the musical I'm in was last night and it went great! It was a really nice ending of an already good day.

I've got mail...
To a college student getting any sort of mail is a luxery...but getting cute Paris gift tags is even better! Earlier this week I won a set of (4) tags from a very mary design (back when my blog name was still crafting cutie). They came in the mail today, along with an adorable card! I can't wait to use them :) Here are some pics...

Random craft thoughts
Lately I've been wanting to do some scrapbooking, but I left all my supplies at home (stupid stupid stupid). I've also been eyeing a accessory tote kit at Wal-Mart that is FULL of scrapbooking supplies. I was going to wait and ask for it for Christmas but I can't take it anymore. So...today I went and bought it! I'm also looking forward to finding some stamp gift tags in the mail that I won from a very mary design! So tonight I went home and got to crafting. Here's some pics of the tote and my latest project; a mini scrapbook of my trip to Silver Dollar City this summer.
Remember how I made a pincushion a while back?? Well I was planning on making one for my mom for Christmas. Yesterday my mom called me and come to find out she was planning on giving me some pincushions that she made for Christmas. How ironic is that considering we have never mentioned making pincushions to each other until yeaterday?!? Here are some pics of the pincushions she made.
