Creating a Paper Piecing Pattern and Using it to Make a Mug Rug
In the past I've created a few paper piecing patterns that I made available online. I have a lot of fun making them and decided to show you all how to create your own patterns.
I used one of my paper pieced blocks to create a quilted mug rug. It is the same techniques as making a full size quilt, so great practice if you think you want to get started in quilting or just want to make a quick quilt project.
I would love to see the paper piecing designs that you all come up with!

Turning a Bag Right Sides Out
I've had several people contact me saying they get confused when making a lined bag and get to the step of turning it right sides out. I usually speed this up or cut it completely out of tutorials completely because once you've done it, it is very easy. I guess I was forgetting that not every one has made a bag before. So I made a sewing basics video showing the entirety of it in real time. I hope you find it helpful!

Craft Fair Projects and Vlog
I did my first craft fair recently with my mom. We made up a ton of items and spent the entire Saturday hanging out and chatting with customers. We had a great time! It was interesting to see what all people bought and didn't buy (wasn't what we expected!). We had a booth down the hallway leading into the main room which was cool because we had a little more room and was able to set up 3 tables, my mannequin, and some vintage door screens to hang items on.
Here's a video showing some of the items I made to sell at the craft fair.
I also made a vlog talking about what sold, what didn't and overall how the day went.

For the fair I made money bags for me and mom. I used an old pair of pants, a long zipper, and seam binding and they turned out great! They worked really well for holding our change, phone, and anything else we needed.

5 Minute Zipper Bag
This is one of my favorite new tutorials from the last year! It's a really quick and easy project, with great looking results!
You only need one piece of fabric, a zipper, and a sewing machine to make a fabulous looking bag. They were a hit at a craft fair I did and one of my best selling items.

DIY Purse
I decided that I needed a new purse (and I hate purse shopping) so I designed and made my own in one afternoon! I used a curtain I got for super cheap at a garage sale, tiny corduroy I bought $5 for the entire bolt, and a clip saved from a dog leash I used for a strap on another project. I love how it turned out so I wanted to share it. Hope you like it too :)
